Why Study Mathematics?
Mathematics is a core subject and an essential part of everyday life. Everyone needs some level of specific Mathematical knowledge. Almost all professions use maths in some form in their day to day working. Mathematics develops imagination, improves clear and logical thought and is challenging.

Who teaches it?
Richard Archbold and Syed Ahmed teach KS3 Mathematics.
How it is taught?
You will have two 70-minute maths lessons a week with a Maths teacher.
What do we learn?
Mathematics is taught through a variety of real life maths in practical contexts. We aim to give you the skills to become fluent in the fundamentals of mathematics, developing your understanding and ability to recall and apply knowledge rapidly and accurately. You will also develop your reasoning skills and solve problems by applying mathematics to a variety of problems whilst persevering in seeking solutions.
